Introduction

Hello, all!

This is the first post for The Homestead, and should serve as a quick outline for things to come! This blog is intended for aspiring/established food writers, or anyone who has a great recipe to share!

I would like to ask that posts be kept appropriate to the subject of food; however, the possibilities here are endless. Anything from fiction to poetry to nonfiction...it is interesting to think of how many ways food can be incorporated into creative writing.

Also, I am particularly interested in regional cuisines. If anyone would like to post a review of a restaurant, feel free to do so! Continental cuisine is a rapidly changing entity, and I am sure that anyone who reads this blog could stand a little touching-up in that regard. Taking this into account, the major theme of this blog is self-sufficiency, thus the name, "The Homestead." If it is possible to use this idea, please do.
